inspiration

My friend, Edena, gave me this business card holder for inspiration as I study for the oral exam (the last exam) I have to take to become a licensed architect. I keep it on my desk for inspiration. The exam is in March and this blog will keep me on track as a study log. I find that I am more productive when what I am doing is completely exposed to friends and myself.

christmas day

Daniel and I slept in this morning and then went for a walk around the nature preserve (the colored portion).
We are going to go see my grandma and watch Beowulf later tonight.

I am so excited about this blog. I am just warming up for the new year!

Earlier today at my brother-in-law's parents home for Christmas Eve dinner. My favorite is always the Taiwanese sticky rice with shitake mushrooms. I learned that the secret to the even soy sauce goodness throughout is to steam it twice!

jane clutch

After my wedding, I hemmed one of my bridesmaid's dresses so that she could wear it again as a tea length dress. Each of my bridesmaids picked out something unique to their dress and Jane wanted a giant bow in the back of her dress. I used the trimmings from her dress and some upholstry fabric samples that I had to make this matching bow clutch for her.
